Welcome to The Bat Consultancy. We carry out surveys and monitoring of bat activity to assist developers, architects and home owners negotiate all aspects of bat contact that one might encounter during the planning process and throughout a building or engineering project.

Because of strict British and European legislation protecting bats, planning regulations currently require that bats and their roosts be carefully considered prior to undertaking any demolition or renovation to avoid injury to bats and to protect their fragile habitats. The Bat Consultancy conduct surveys for bats and their roosts within buildings, cellars, structures and trees and was established to assist clients through the complex planning system and legal requirements. We carry the specialist licences necessary to carry out this work.
